Shanghai, China, January 8, 2019 – JinkoSolar Holding Co., Ltd. (the “Company,” or “JinkoSolar”) (NYSE: JKS), one of the largest and most innovative solar module manufacturers in the world, today announced a 70MWp solar farm developed by Datang and supplied with JinkoSolar’s Cheetah panels has been connected in Jinmeng, Hubei province. It is the largest solar-agriculture project to be fully operational locally. The Cheetah module selected for this project allows increased energy production.
Right now, as rates fall, investors and developers really need to look at every detail in the system and find a way to optimize the costs. The Cheetah module selected for this project is of 19.88% efficient performance , which allows increased energy production. Its half cut cell design can minimize the negative shade and low light irradiance impacts, therefore to take advantage of unused, irregularly shaped areas and slopes and generate up to 10 percent more energy than conventional technology installed at the same site.
In addition, as premium space becomes constrained, in order to maximize the use of land and significantly impact a project’s bottom line, Datang has worked with JinkoSolar to evaluate possible crop varieties that can coexist with this large-scale, ground-mounted solar. And in order to coexist, the project was designed differently with high efficiency, high ammonia resistance Cheetah panels.
